It took me a while to build up the nerve to do this commission. It's not just any commission. It wasn't someone saying "I want a cute picture of my character!!" This was someone's precious memory, combined with a dream that never came true. I can easily say that I shed more than a few tears over this one, and tried to put as much detail and emotion into it as I could.
